Ethiopian Evangelism
Why This Web Page?
“For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.” 1 Corinthians 11:26
“Amen. Amen. Amen. O Lord, Your death we proclaim.” St. Basil Divine Liturgy
As we examine the above verse and prayer, we discover that evangelism is not an option but it is a must for each faithful. Evangelism was introduced by Ethiopian Bakos to Ethiopians in 34 AD, beautified by our fathers and mothers for centuries and we loved to maintain this mission - continue and spread around the country and all over the world. Acts 8:26-40
Evangelism is a commandment not only for bishops, priests, and deacons, but, in fact, it is for everyone. In addition, it is also a promise we give to God in every Divine Liturgy. Yet, we fail to fulfill! To help each person to fulfill this vow, we created this web page to promote a good understanding of evangelism and to offer the necessary tools and skills needed to practice it.
Here are the main purposes of this web page:
- Prepare a person for evangelism and missionary work
- Offer an online evangelism class teaches not only evangelism, but also the faith, the Holy Bible, and the Church mysteries and rites
- Make this web page as a repository and reference of evangelism tools, skills, groups, missions, and topics
